We hand select the finest cashmere fibers and transform them into multi-ply yarns that are then loomed at our mill. The final finishing process has been developed over three generations to ensure the softest and coziest touch. We know you will treasure our cashmere collection for many years to come.
Amicale Cashmere was founded in 1942 by Gregory Shlomm, a preeminent cashmere specialist who focused on selecting and sourcing the finest cashmere worldwide, and by the 1960’s, the company was a force in the global luxury cashmere industry.
In 1968, Gregory’s son Boris redefined Amicale as a leading manufacturer of cashmere woven fabrics, knitting yarns and accessories. When trade opened with the Far East, Boris was among the first Americans to travel there, sourcing the finest fibers from Mongolia.
The third generation of this cashmere family took the reins in 2003, when Daniel Shlomm became president and CEO. He made Amicale Cashmere a trusted cashmere resource for the country’s top retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom, as well as many luxury fashion houses.
